# Most deals close only after 5+ touches we build the follow-up that keeps going

80% of B2B deals close only after multiple touches. 44% of salespeople stop after one follow-up. A good sequence catches every lead that wasn't ready to buy immediately.

## Who is this for?

Three typical situations where this automation pays for itself within months.
01
### B2B service business

Lead asks for info but doesn't reply to the first email. A 5-7 touch sequence over 3 weeks offers different angles: case study, common question, check-in, soft deadline, without becoming pushy.
02
### Quote sent, no response

After a quote the conversation dies. A follow-up sequence with social proof, objection handling and a soft deadline brings a portion back over the line, without you having to chase manually again.
03
### Newsletter or lead magnet

Someone subscribes for a whitepaper or newsletter. A warm-up sequence nurtures the contact with value until they're ready for a sales conversation.
02
## What you gain

### Follow-up that keeps going

While you're busy with other things, the sequence runs on. Every lead gets the attention they need without anyone having to remember to send emails every day.

### Personal without mass-email feel

Dynamic content per lead: name, company, source, interests. Emails feel 1-on-1 instead of bulk, and that shows in open and reply rates.

### Stops intelligently

As soon as a lead replies, books an appointment or clicks a specific link, the sequence stops automatically. No awkward repeats once contact has been made.

### Insight per email

Which emails get opened, which links clicked, where leads drop off. So we see what works and amplify it, instead of continuing with emails that do nothing.
03
## How we build it

From first call to live in production. Transparent, predictable, no surprises.
01
### Map the sales cycle

Where do leads drop off, what's the average decision time, which questions or objections keep coming back? This determines the cadence and content of the sequence.
02
### Content + cadence

Which emails when, which triggers. Different hooks: case study, common question, check-in, soft deadline, varied enough not to feel repetitive.
03
### Go live

We build the sequence in your existing mail platform or in n8n, connect to your lead source (form, CRM, socials) and switch it on.
04
### Tune on data

After 4-6 weeks we look at what opens and converts and tighten: better subject lines, different order, extra touches where needed.

## Frequently asked questions
Does this work with my mail platform (Mailchimp / ActiveCampaign / etc.)?Usually yes. If your platform has an API or webhook, we can hook into it. Using something without? Then we build the sequence in n8n and send emails via a transactional service (Postmark, Resend or SMTP), technically it barely matters for the end result. Will my emails land in spam more easily because of this? Not if it's set up right. We make sure authentication is correct (SPF, DKIM, DMARC on your domain), ramp up volume gradually instead of 2,000 emails at once, and keep content personal enough to avoid bulk-marketing flags. How many messages per sequence is normal? For B2B follow-up, 5-8 messages over 3-4 weeks is typical. For soft nurture it can run longer. We decide together based on your sales cycle, too short loses effect, too long feels pushy. How do we prevent it from feeling pushy?By keeping the cadence calm (not every day), picking a different angle per email (question, case, check-in, soft deadline), and stopping the sequence immediately when a lead replies. Opt-out is in every email as a one-click link. Can I have different sequences per type of lead?Yes, that's the real strength. A lead from a quote request gets a different sequence than someone who subscribed for a whitepaper. We route based on source and behavior so every lead gets the most relevant follow-up.What happens if a lead does reply, does the rest stop?Yes, that's built in by default. As soon as a lead replies (via email, clicks a link that signals sales intent, or books an appointment) the sequence stops automatically and the lead goes to your team with full context.
## Goes well with this
[
### Speed-to-Lead

The business that responds first wins the deal. The average response time in the Netherlands is over a day. We make it 60 seconds, without your team lifting a finger.

### Database Reactivation

Most old leads end up buying eventually, just not always from you. With a smart reactivation campaign on your existing database you often earn more than with the same euros in new ads.
